Fair Trade
ReplyDeleteOne day my mum and I were going to 'TESCO'.I saw a fait trade logo on my mum's coffee and I thought, 'wat is fair trade?'My mum said,'I don't know .Lets find out.'At school Miss Spirs was talking about fair trade and she told a us a story it begins like this :
One time there was a boy colled James he lived in Ghana. He and his mum were growing coco beans for our chocolate, but din't have any money for food, educationand medical help!So one company thought about other people and made fair trade simbol and that means that people who make things grow things get more money for food education and medical help, but we have to remember to that fair trade things like coffee are more expencive!
today in school lucy was learning all about fair trade, it was her new topic. It was very interesting and she learned that farmer Fred in Ghana was not given the fair ammount of money for the cocoa beans he had grown.Frank the manufacturer was happy and so was Phillip the shopkeeper because they got loads of money but poor Fred gets very little money and doesn't even have enough money to have medical care or education.Ahh but it doesn't end that way .........................
ReplyDeleteAhh but it doesn't end that way no no with fair trade Fred can have medical care and education for his family and that farmer Fred,Frank the manufacturer and Phillip the shop keeper can all have a better deal as well as a fair deal.So just remember when you buy fair trade products it makes it easier for farmers just like farmer Fred.
